The Micropillar Z-SLIDES™ offer significantly improved solid phase kinetics, engineered spot morhology, and an isolated optical interrogation plane the during the scan. The combinations of these unique glass micropillar structures also allows for the multiplexing of up to 2704 analytes in a given sample. 

The X-Y positional nature of the micropillar array allows researchers to perform multiplexing assays without complex instrumentation like flow cytometers.  In Z-SLIDE™ assays, micropillars are placed into the center of the fluidic sample as opposed to traditional microarray approaches which place the assay on the bottom of the fluidic sample. This enables Z-SLIDES™ to be used for both high throughput and high content applications.

The  micropillars  features a flat, smooth, uniform surface whose height is set higher than the focal plane of the slide base. The micropillars are optically clear and therefore can be optically interrogated from the bottom of the slide.

Standard micropillar slides feature diameters of 100, 200, 300 and 400µm and 200µm's tall (±25µm). Custom diameters and heights are available. The Z-SLIDE™ Micropillar slides can be functionalized with most currently available chemistries.

Our Z-SLIDE™ Micropillar products may require advanced printing capabilities. Life BioScience offers complete printing services for those customers that require it. Our Z-SLIDE™ products come in a standard microscope slide format of 76mm x 25mm x 1mm.
