Z-SLIDES™ Products
MICROARRAYS
Our Z-SLIDE™ Microarrays offer the lowest CV, highest dynamic range, reduced reagent useage, highest probe density and best spot morphology available to researchers today. Our Microarrays feature either precise and uniform "Microwells" in the glass slide or tall, round, flat surfaced "Micropillars" above the glass slide base. These epoxysilane functionized slides represent the first revolutionary change in microarray technology in over a decade.
The Microwell Microarrays offer perfect spot morphology, reduce reagent usage, reduced evaporation and high density binding sites on the 3D nanowell surface. The microwells, while controlling spot morphology, also eliminate cross-talk between probe sites.
The Micropillar Microarrays offer perfect spot morphology, reduced reagent useage and unparalleled signal-to-noise ratios because the scanner is interrogating only the pillar surfaces which are hundreds of microns above the base of the slide which removes the noise from the scan. These pillar surfaces are exactly 1mm above the bottom of the slide on the exact same plane which means they can be used in all commercial scanners. All noise from the rest of the slide is not in the focal plane.
BIOARRAYS SLIDES - Non Functionalized
All of our Micropillar and Microwell slides are available without surface chemistries so researchers can purchase these 3D bioarrays and use their own functionalization surface treatments. LBSI offers custom microarray printing services for our Z-SLIDES™ as well. We utilize a non-contact piezoelectric dispensing system that can print reagent volumes in the picoliter regime.
Both the Microwell and Micropillar platforms eliminate the printer as your spot morphology control mechanism. The nanowells and micropillars are offered in standard diameters of 100, 200, 300 and 400µm with the standard nanowell depth of 25µm and a standard micropillar height of 200µm's (±25µm). In addition, custom diameters, shapes, heights and depths are available upon request.
Our Z-SLIDES™ come in a standard microscope size format (76mm x 25mm x 1mm).
