Micro-molds
Life MicroFab (LMF) can fabricate glass and ceramic micro-molds with features as small as 5µm's for use with hot embossing or PDMS. Our engineers can work with your designs to deliver both protoype and production molds for your process. The APEX™ Glass-Ceramic material stands up well to the rigors of a molding process and your parts will come out the same everytime.
LMF can fabricate micro-channels, vias, micropillars and othe 3D structures in the mold. These channels can be different widths, depths and lengths on the same device. Since we use a time tested semiconductor photolithography manufacturing process, your designs can be very diverse and flexible.
Once a mask has been developed for your particular mold design, it is easy for LMF to fabricate and deliver a new glass-ceramic mold in a very short time.
